Scented pillow with a hand-drawn pattern

„We have been sewing scented herbal pillows practically since the very beginning of our business. The choice of fabrics for their production has always been my domain, and whenever I came across a beautiful fabric in a store, the first thing that came to my mind was how it would suit our pillows. However, I have been thinking about a fabric with my own pattern for some time, which I finally drew myself. It is composed of individual pictures from the world of bees in a white-honey colour combination.“

Balanced blend of six herbs

Herbal pillows are an ideal alternative to various chemical aromas; they contain a mixture of 6 herbs (lavender, mint, thyme, lemon balm, oregano, and chamomile) that will make your home smell like nature. Their scent helps to calm the body, induce well-being, and thus contributes to calmer and better-quality sleep.

Lavender has one more benefit for our home - unlike us, its scent is not liked by some of our unwanted housemates such as spiders, mosquitoes, ants, or clothes moths, and therefore they will happily move away from the house.

When you start to think that the pillow stops smelling, try rubbing it a little in your hands. This will release the essential oils and make the pillow smell fresh again.

Original pillows sewn with love

We sew the herbal pillows ourselves in Potštejn and choose only such fabrics and materials for them that we do not hesitate to use ourselves. The top layer of the pillows is sewn from 100% cotton fabric, but to prevent herbs from piercing through the fabric from the inside and for the pillow being comfortable, herbs are then wrapped in non-woven batting before being sewn into the cotton.

We buy the herbs for the pillows from a Czech company that produces teas. These are selected, high-quality herbs that are primarily intended for teas and are therefore of the best food quality.

History of herbal pillows from us

The production of herbal pillows and baggies is the domain of Hanka Plevová. The main reason for including them in our assortment was the demand of our customers. Years ago, Milan Pleva used to go to Prague Havel's market to sell propolis drops and tinctures, where people regularly asked him about pillows. So, we first started buying them from our suppliers, but in the end, Hanka started sewing them herself.

She gradually discovered new substances and mixtures of herbs, experimented with different combinations, and it was fun. Although Hanka doesn't normally sew them anymore, she still enjoys looking for new fabrics and helps our skilled seamstress Jitka when needed.
