Fit for a queen
Did you know that the queen bee lives up to 20 times longer than an ordinary bee? However, the two hatch in the same way. The only difference is in the food – the queen is only fed royal jelly. The jelly contains lots of vitamins and minerals, and is a source of great vitality for the bees. It is only thanks to the jelly that the queen manages to survive the demanding pace of her life and live longer than the rest of the bees in the hive. Royal jelly is used in skin creams, but may also be available in vials or tablets. Although we have added 3 % of it to this honey, we recommend that adults only take up to two teaspoons a day of it. This honey is not recommended for children and pregnant and breastfeeding women.
